  • The school district cannot win!!!!

The schools in my school system have implemented new rules for dances.
1. Dresses must cover your shoulders.
2. Dresses must not show any of your back.
3. You must not grind.
4. Yor bodies must not be touching.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
Any violation of these rules will result in you getting kicked out immediately.

*Basically, they want us to wear gunny-sack dresses and dance with beachballs in between us.

Now, while I am not a fan of having sex with clothes on (ie: grinding), I also am not a fan of the school system trying to control us so much.

So, what did we do? Me, my gay best friend (who turns straight for me for dances XD), and basically everyone else from my school went to this new club downtown for students under the age of 21. The school district demanded that they be closed for the night, so that wouldn't happen.

But, of course, they remained open and we ended up having an awesome time.

Tyranny will not prevail! LOL

  • My Ochi-versarry!

On Thursday it was my one year Ochi birthday. A year ago Ochi found one of my posted stories on a competition site and invited me on here and for the first few months I HAD NO CLUE WHAT THE HELL I WAS DOING! I didn't know what uke meant, or RL, or brb, or LOL. I was SUCH a spaz! And I had only been writing for six months so I HAD NO CLUE about that either.

So I wanted to thank all of you guys for your patience as I asked about a million really stupid questions and for all the reviews and all the corrupting influence. I've written things I would never have written, read things I would never have read, seen beautiful art I would never have seen, if it wasn't for being on this site.

And I have laughed, and laughed, and laughed!

  • IT'S ALIIIIIVE~

And finals are over. Now I just have to convince my Econ prof. that I turned in that second test so she'll remove the 'F' that she so lovingly placed on my records. Dx

Oh well. If she refuses, my parents have agreed to corner her in the parking lot so I can run her over.

On accident, of course.

Have I mentioned I love my family? 'Cause really, we're like the Deep South version of an organized crime family. Unless you go see my Arkansas relatives. They're less 'organized' and more 'let's shoot 'em till they're dead and laugh at the corpse'.

The South is a frightening place.

  • End of the Year Questionnaire

Miyavi did this, so I'm doing it tooo! icon

Question translations by devilish_alegna at LJ:

Q.01 In 2008, did you complete the things you set out to do?

I did for the most part!

Q.02 Any memory in particular that left an impression on you in 2008?

I made some awesome friends, I cosplayed some awesome cosplay, I friggin saw Miyavi LIVE in concert! OMG, that's my happiest memory right there.

Q.03 What was the most expensive thing you purchased in 2008?

Uhm...my cell phone? *isn't really that big of a spender* I do want to buy a Wii, though...

Q.04 A place you have gone frequently to in 2008?

School. And work. And the library. I'm such a nerd.

Q.05 Were you glad about anything in particular in 2008?

I'm glad I made such amazing friends this year. I'm seriously blown away at this because they really are AMAZING friends! Like...AMAZINGLY amazing! I'm so happy I've met them and had the opportunity to actually become friends with them. It's really helped me to keep up my positive attitude and become a truly happier person in general. You guys are so awesome!

AND! I'm super glad I got to see Miyavi in concert. Because really, his charisma and sex appeal levels are through the frigging roof.

Q.06 Were you angry about anything in particular in 2008?

Yes, but I tend to not live in the past and won't be able to recall anything specific.

...wait. There was that one old guy that ran a stop sign and then GAVE ME THE FINGER when I honked at him!!! That DICK! I would have followed him and keyed his nice car if his grandkid wasn't in the back seat. ARGH! I'm mad all over again!

Q.07 Were you sad about anything in particular in 2008?

Eh. Nothing in particular. Well...my uncle died. That was sad. But it brought the family together and we were able to actually reconnect for the first time in almost 20 years. I mean, I'm finally back in touch with my oldest cousin who I hero worshipped when I was a toddler, so it really was a blessing in disguise.

Q.08 Is there something you regret doing in 2008?

Eh, I'm sure there are some things, but I don't live in the past, so....there's no point in trying to remember them.

Q.09 In 2008, the toughest thing for you was?

HMMM....I'm gonna copy Miyavi's answer on this one and say I forgot! 8D

Q.10 Did you experience a tightening feeling in your chest in 2008?

Whenever I unnecessarily panicked, I did. I sometimes freak myself out over nothing...LoL.

Q.11 What things were you into in 2008?

The INTERNET! 8D

Q.12 What kanji character best represents this whole year for you?

悟 <- Not a very pretty kanji. I'd rather use 薬 cuz it's all shiny looking, but it means medicine, and I wasn't exactly sick all year XD

Q.13 In 2008, what caused the most tension in you?

When I get really cold my muscles go tense and after a while it starts to ache. So I'd say WINTER causes the most tension.

Q.14 In what [endeavor], did you work the hardest [or try your best] in 2008?

Getting my butt over to Miyavi's concert.

I also put a lot of effort into my entry for the narusasu fanbook...but I don't think it's my best work. So maybe that's a failed attempt?

Q.15 What are your plans for December 31st?

Head over to one of my AMAZING friends' houses and be a complete dork right into the new year.

Q.16 To conclude, please mention your aspirations for the year 2009.

- Improve my Japanese until I'm comfortable holding a conversation with it

- Update my stories a bit more regularly than I did this year

- Push myself more with exercising and eating healthier

- Get my passport

- Get a Wii

- Stop being so damn lazy!!
